September 28, 2016, Prescott-
I work with whimsical people,
including a child who thinks
playing tag in a church would be a trip.
Another, believes the Universe
is seeking his destruction.
I am trying to impart self-knowledge
as a goal, to my students,
so that, when they reach their teen years,
they will be less likely to self-medicate-
or otherwise engage in self-harm.
Animals in the wild
engage in self-preservation.
Why should we humans
be any less vigilant?
Isn’t it odd,
that someone capable of gnosis,
should be less self-preserving,
than a praying mantis, electric eel
or gnu?
I just love the double whammys you end your poems with, especially this one!

Human beings are definitely odd, in the true sense. I remember once telling my brain that its job was to help me, not to hurt. I had better dreams that night.

I wish for good dreams but sometimes they don’t happen. 🙂 Hope your week-end is blessed. I saw you on Facebook too so I liked it twice. 🙂

No one is honoured in his own house. I find most people like me from a safe distance. Thank you, Kim.
