December 14, 2015, Prescott-
Early to rise,
looked upon whitened skies.
A brief text,
said don’t hurry, rest!
A delayed drive to work,
didn’t see many jerks.
Children discombobulated,
by the start of school, belated.
Practice for tomorrow’s song,
interrupted by mindless chatter- all wrong!
In the end, melodic voices,
overcame the miscreant’s disruptive choices.
Back at home, I encountered a bug,
Removed from the wall, it sits in a jar,
Snug.
I love this perception of a snowy day in the life of a teacher! But snow is SO exciting to the kids! It’s been windy here — almost as disruptive to everyday life, but it also comes with the end of a storm that actually brought a little rain!

That gives a different outlook on snow.

Great poem, as always. Creative and unusual rhymes. A lot of images in a few words, like all good poetry. I would make the first letter of each line small, but that’s a minor consideration.
