January 24, 2017, Prescott-
School started at 10,
instead of 8.
Ice clogged the streets,
many pick-up drivers feared being late.
So, as I drove carefully along,
there were several who swung around me.
Arriving safely at work,
I was glad to, rid of traffic, be.
Shortened schedules bother our students,
a lack of mid-morning breakfast,
also an unwelcome surprise-
how imprudent.
We made it safely through, with no bumps and bruises.
A fair amount of learning,
even a short day infuses.
My memory of snow is that it is beautiful until the first person walks across it — or the first car drives along it! Glad you got some learning in despite the disruption!

Yes, new fallen snow is certainly a delight- for the first thirty minutes.

It seems to me that snow in Arizona would be worse than snow in Indiana? Hope today is free of slippery roads. January has been pretty nice this year. I’ll take it!

Today was still a bit slippery, until noon. I have read that the Great Lakes region has had a winter normally associated with our neck of the woods. Enjoy!
